Macro - Bug or Feature?

After downloading 1.9.0 & 1.9.1, I reinstalled several macro packs via the account sign in.  I noticed that I can no longer edit the macros that are downloaded. The 'Edit' option is available, but when I click the button nothing shows up on the macro tab.  This does not happen to the macros that I created or imported. Is this a feature or a bug?

The account sign in procedure will not allow you to edit the macros

If you want to edit the macros you need to go to the Affinity website, sign in and download the macro pack(s) to your PC then install them the old fashion way. Then they will be editable

If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.

But what is the logic behind it ?!

If editing were allowed, and the package was updated at the Store, it would be automatically downloaded again and you would lose the changes you'd made.

Not if you save the modified macro under a different name. But the user is not allowed to do that either.

Hi,

This is by design at present, however we're keeping under constant review what you can do with content downloaded via your account, and so I have passed this feedback on to our development team.

Having said that, the option to Edit them should be disabled. It is on my machine. Would you mind attaching a screenshot of the right-click menu in case it's affecting specific macros?

Thanks a lot
