Octograficus
Hello, I want a suggestion for new function. Sorry for my bad english. But I say that if you can do, then I'll shut up, but as I say xD I was doing personal work in Affinity Photo, and there has been a problem to me also in photoshop, but I do not want to give ideas to Adobe. What I propose is to avoid rasterizing to continue working with masks in layers with layer effects. PS This can be done using smart objects, but for me it is not a solution, because you depend on other file increases the file size and open another window. Designer is that you can work with embedded files in real time, but in this case I see impractical, I show you a practical example. If you look this representation of my logo is a visual paradox of Escher, 8 left arm, it can not pass under the law if they are in the same plane. One way to do this is: First with the shape of the logo, so I apply bezel (img 1). Then I make another well and apply to have the bezel bezel upstairs (img 2). So to get that look like a single piece, in layers 1 on 2 (img 3) rasterize for separately and make a layer mask 1 by deleting the marked parts and I have (img 5). The problem is if a layer mask effects do you spend it (img 6). The layer effect is applied to the layer visibility subtracting the mask, but I seek an intelligent mask, which may tell you to skip the layer effects and focus on the end that has the layer visibility. So avoid raster layers and layers to continue using modifiable. I think that would be fine and would be practical in some cases. Regards. Staff Ben Posted October 6, 2015 Staff Share Posted October 6, 2015 You can do this by cloning your layer, then creating a parent vector mask - create a vector shape, give it a transparent line and fill, then drag you layer onto it so that it becomes masked by the vector shape. That will mask the effects also. Using two layers, with the upper one masked should allow you to do what you want.
