CartoonMike
Interesting thing happened, I don't know if it's not knowing enough about how Affinity Designer works or not, but here goes: I'm vectorizing some raster sketches and I usually outline the figure first and then work inwards to the details. I set the brush to a wide setting (like 20 points) for the thick outlines I like to have. Now whenever I create a new line (either via brush or pen) it "defaults" to 20 points, even though I set the pen to be 1 point. I see in the brush/pen settings there's a duplicate button, but it doesn't seem to do anything. It seems that there's only one group of setting and they affect both the pen and brush tool. Question: are multiple settings on the Roadmap? Or are they already here and I don't know how to access them? It's a bit of a bother to have to constantly change the settings and I don't know how to set them so they don't start out being so large. CartoonMike
Derp. I found the palette and much more. Buried palettes is my kryptonite. Thanks to the great Help files which are actually helpful and very well done. And those two buttons in the tool bar (synchronize settings and reset settings) are good to have. My issue with pen width is now solved.
