hi, tried to update to designer 1.9.1 on mac os10.11.6 hanged on installing, rebooted opened and will no longer show as registered, but cannot enter reg no. dare not install photo and publisher until i know what is happening do not want to update mac os, would have preffered to know if this was needed before installing.

have installed updates to pub and photo, guessing that splash windows are for features in updated os software and do not interfere with apps??

The MAS update versions installed Ok here under El Capitan (OSX 10.11.6). - For the Affinity Store Mac versions can't tell, you probably need to try then in your case a fresh new full install. Aka make a backup of the previous/old version and then remove it from disk, afterwards try to install v1.9.1 new.

Like v_kyr, El Capitan app store worked as expected, were Mojave was having the non responsive issue -

You could maybe try the workaround that temporarily kicks the app store back into gear on Mojave as maybe it is a general App store bug after all :

Go to Activity Monitor and force-kill appstoreagent process. The app started to download at once. After force-killing appstoreagent, there was no need to log out and log in again in the App Store. Updates and downloads just work again.

Well I believe the OP got it from the Affinity Store instead, since otherwise he wouldn't need to enter a registration number ...

For some reason, this does not appear for me in the Affinity Range Mac Beta Release Notifications topic.

@Patrick Connor, know anything about why?
