Aby
I try to change the settings on the context specific toolbar on the lower side of the user interface, while working with different shapes. But to no avail. As an example, i can’t change the number polygons (standard = 5 sides) to anything else, or the number of points in a star, andsoforth. Is this a bug or is there something i’m doing wrong? i’m working on ipad pro, ios 14.4, designer 1.9.
emmrecs01
@Aby Welcome to the Affinity forums. I just tried this and got somewhat "strange" results". After tapping on the "Sides" button a number of times, a small window opened with the option to select any number. I closed that window and couldn't reopen it, despite numerous attempts. However, I did discover that, if one draws, however roughly, a pentagon, then the number can be clicked and increased or decreased to have as many sides as one wants. I'm not sure this is intended behaviour but I've only just started using Designer on iPad so am not sure! AllAppsUser
Yeah, it’s a draw first, decide after workflow as said above. To me, the number of sides thing should be greyed out until the shape has been drawn - giving the user a heads-up that that’s how it operates. These apps have a bit of finessing to do yet - they’re in early days.
