SusanneG Posted February 25, 2021 Posted February 25, 2021 (edited) Hi there, I have a simple problems that causes me headaches. I habe Affinity Photo and I still want a transparent background for my text boxes. Even if I change then opacity in the character panel, the background color just changes from the current color to white. It is never transparent. This only occurs in afphoto-files. In Tiff- or PSD-files everything works fine. Can anyone help? Best regards, Susanne Edited February 25, 2021 by SusanneG Quote
jmwellborn Posted February 25, 2021 Posted February 25, 2021 Welcome to the Forums, @SusanneG😊 Not too stupid at all. Just have to know the trick! First, go to VIEW>Studio and see that you have a check mark beside Character. That will open a new panel on the right side of your desktop. Then create a frame with the Text Tool, type in your text and you will have a white background. Then open your Character Panel, and in the right box underneath the font name (which is white), click on it and choose the white box with a red strip through it. That will make your text background transparent. I made the white box red, so you will see which box I mean. Hope this helps!
