Insert shape into cell of a table

I want to insert a shape into a cell of a table using Publisher. I was hoping to insert it into the table itself rather adding a separate layer but not seeing how to do it.

You'd have to draw it on its own layer, but you can then cut or copy and paste into a table cell:

Cutting will remove the original layer.
