Black in Affinity Designer prints green

Recommended Posts

Hi, I have been trying to resolve this and have done some research but have gotten nowhere so I figured I would try here.

Every time I print something black from Affinity Designer it prints as dark green on paper. I made 4 squares (cyan, magenta, yellow, black) and printed them, then made a word document with 4 letters (cyan, magenta, yellow, black) and printed it as well. The black square in Affinity Designer printed dark green but the black text in the word document printed black. I tried changing the color profile but both sRGB and sCMYK give the same results.

I'm using affinity designer 1.9 on macOS 10.15.6 and printing with an HP Deskjet 3634.

Thank you in advance

When I was at work I did a lot of design work that was sent to professional printers. They told me not to submit back areas as pure black but with 50% Magenta. Maybe worth a try?

Thanks for the suggestion! I gave it a try and unfortunately it didn't work. I have managed to get a darkish grey and less of the green I was noticing but still not the black that I'm getting when printing a word document.

A sample Affinity document uploaded to the forum would be useful
