Yodel
Hello all, i am trying to add several vector shapes as masks to an image. I drag an rectangle onto the image thumbnail - this works: the image is cropped to the shape that was added. But when i add the second shape onto the same image, the both masks only reveal the image where they overlap. I am looking for a way to add the second mask independently from the first one, is that possible in designer?
ashf
Group the mask objects. then apply. Yodel
Yodel
Thank you very much @ashf This works but i cant edit the group anymore after i dropped it onto the image. Even when i select "edit mask" i cant adjust the individual shapes in this group. Is there a way to keep the edit functionality of the mask group? ashf
No, I don't think so. you need to release the mask once. P.S. regardless of whether it's a group or not, you can't edit vector mask directly.
Yodel
I found a solution: the blend mode "erase" is much better suited for this. I added 2 objects into the image, not as masks but the indent nesting method. Then set the objects to erase and they will only affect the image they are nested in. ashf
