Some hyperlinks don't work: %20 added at the end of the url

Recommended Posts

I am creating an interactive PDF for a company, and as part of that I am putting hyperlinks in for their customers to go to certain web pages. I have a problem with twitter addresses, some work fine others add %20 at the end and say that the pages do not exist. I have checked the hyperlink target within Affinity and it works fine - as soon as I export as PDF the problem starts - Any thoughts?

Welcome to the Affinity forums @JoolsB!

%20 stands for a space character. So check if some of your URLs end with a space and remove it. This should be moved to feature requests as spaces at the end of an URL should be trimmed automatically.

You should change the topic title to something more meaningful, describing in short words what your problem is all about.

I've reproduced and logged this. If removing the space doesn't fix it please attach the document for inspection (i can provide an upload link if you wish to keep the file private - just let me know).
The hyperlinks with the space at the end should also fail in app if you click the Go to Target button on the bottom of the Hyperlinks panel - you probably checked an hyperlink without a space at the end if they did work for you...
