Richard Henry
I am having the same problem with the same OS(10.15.7) on a MacBook Pro with the same processor. I created another user and was able to open Affinity Photo just fine using that user. Something appears to be wrong with the user. I have Affinity Designer and Publisher and they both work with the user where Affintiy Photo will not load. I am attaching the log that comes up when Affinity Photo will not load. Perhaps you could try creating another user to see if Affinity Photo will load for you. This might help in figuring out what is happening. _Affinity Photo Fail Log.txt

Suddenly I only got a gray box when trying to open Affinity Designer on my iMac Pro 10.14.6. then i deleted the app tried to download it again from App Store - but i am unable to download it anymore - the circle is circling but no download ist started. Can't use Designer anymore - any hints?

This appears to be some kind of problem with the latest 1.9.1 update - looks like everyone is in the same boat if you're trying to update from the MAS as it still shows 1.9.0 but just hangs on download - looks like MAS side problem - updating my copy of pub was super smooth (direct from serif) and working great Quote Mac Pro Cheese-grater (Early 2009) 2.93 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon 48 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 ECC Ram, Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 580 8GB GDDR5, Ugee 19" Graphics Tablet Monitor Triple boot via OCLP 1.2.1 - Mac OS Monterey 12.7.1, Sonoma 14.1.1 and Mojave 10.14.6 Affinity Publisher, Designer and Photo 1.10.5 - 2.2.1 www.bingercreative.co.uk
