evtonic3
If I create a layer style and I would like for it to scale proportionately whether the document is 72 ppi or 300 ppi , what do I need to do set this up? I know that you always get the scale with object checkbox in each effect but how does this play into setting up what I want to do? I have found that styles I have already made that looked great in the document I created to make the styles, but when you use those styles on different size objects, the effects are blown out of proportion. PS has scale effects which solves this.
Staff Lee D Posted October 2, 2015 Staff Share Posted October 2, 2015 Hi evtonic3, Enabling Scale with object is what you need, can you provide an example of when it has blown out of proportion, even with this enabled. Thanks
evtonic3
Attached is the same style added to the same size font. So if I need print graphics in 300 ppi, wouldn't i have to adjust all effect to match the 72 ppi? See attached.
A_B_C
Hi evtonic3, first off, thanks again for your styles … :) As LeeD said, I believe you just have to tick Scale with Object … and it should work correctly. As long as that is ticked, everything works fine for me on arbitrary changes to the document parameters. How did you create the 300 dpi image other than by unticking Scale with Object? Doing so was the only way for me to recreate this appearance … Cheers, Alex
