postmadesign
I had a very nasty crash yesterday while I tried to delete an asset category I had created but I did not need. The program froze and I had to force quit the app. After restarting the app ALL asset categories were deleted! This is a very nasty thing, especially if you use assets all the time. Assets seem buggy as whole atm, as things like creating asset categories and renaming them takes a lot of time. I hope you can adress this serious issue soon. I use the latest app store version of Designer on an iMac 2011 with High Sierra installed.
Staff Sean P Posted February 24, 2021 Staff Share Posted February 24, 2021 Hi postmadesign, I'm sorry about this! That is indeed very nasty! I don't suppose you have a backup up the assets.propcol file from the following location do you? If you have a time machine one from post 1.9 release but prior to the delete that would be very helpful.Affinity Store install: users\username\Library\Application Support\Affinity Designer\user\Mac App Store install: users\username\Library\Containers\com.seriflabs.affinitydesigner\Data\Library\Application Support\user\ Are you also able to find a copy of the crash report from Console that relates to the time of the crash that you could attach? Finally did you have any content synced using the new Content Syncing feature?
postmadesign
I don't have a time machine backup post 1.9 unfortunatly. About the crah report, I will have to check later. I did have content loaded via the account, but synced manually. Sean P
