mr roger shelley Posted March 14, 2021 Author Share Posted March 14, 2021 i have both Affinity photo & affinity designer & both of them crash as soon as i try to place a photo or start a project. it doesnt happen with my adobe Elements. Perhaps you are having issues with Hardware Acceleration. Open Affinity Photo Preferences (Edit > Preferences), select the Performance tab, and see if Hardware Acceleration (OpenCL) is enabled near the bottom of the list. If so, disable it.
