Replacing a placed image loses cropping info

Recommended Posts

After updating to version 1.9, I noticed that when I use the "replace document" command to revise an image that was previously placed, (in my case a PDF file), the replacement document is shrunk down to fit inside the cropped area that was previously made. Previous versions replaced the document maintain ing the cropping and sizing information. Since I have now lost this information, I will have to either re-size and re-crop the replacement file or delete the old placed image and place the new one. I have the image linked instead of being embedded and so I expected, as in previous versions, that updating it would not destroy my layout. Some sizing and cropping in a layout may be critical and so having to do that work over again is really annoying. I have looked in the preferences but I cannot find a toggle that fixes this issue.
