Petra Thorn
Hi, I am trying to save a document (publisher) I just started and keep getting error messages: Save failed because the file could not be written to. Does anybody know what this means and how I can save my document? I am using the latest version of affinity and Mac, thanks, petra psheld
Alfred
Welcome to the Serif Affinity Forums, Petra. Perhaps the ‘ü’ in ‘Kinderbücher’ is causing the problem. Try saving to a new location that doesn’t have any non-Latin characters in the file path. Petra Thorn
thanks, I changed the Ü to ue, but I still cannot save the document - do you have any other idea?
Old Bruce
I am guessing it is the period after Dl engl./ in your path name. the OS is trying to create an invisible folder. 45 minutes ago, Petra Thorn said: thanks, I changed the Ü to ue, but I still cannot save the document - do you have any other idea? Pšenda
I'm guessing the weird word "Indesign". APublisher data cannot be saved in such a directory :-) Old Bruce and Alfred 2 Quote Affinity Store (MSI/EXE): Affinity Suite (ADe, APh, APu) 2.4.0.2301 Dell OptiPlex 7060, i5-8500 3.00 GHz, 16 GB, Intel UHD Graphics 630, Dell P2417H 1920 x 1080, Windows 11 Pro, Version 23H2, Build 22631.3155. I note from your previous thread that you’re on macOS. I also note that you didn’t respond to @Gabe’s request for further information.
