Has anyone else notice odd behavior since the 1.9 update? I'm on Windows 10 Pro with a highly capable laptop and 3 monitors. 1.8 was rock solid and fast...

A few things I've noticed:

1. file load times (File|Open) seem significantly longer than previous versions.

2. linked documents cause host programs to hang/crash. for example, a muti-artboard designer file when placed in publisher causes crashes when the designer file is updated. In some cases the update time is quite long (3 minutes at worst for me; others it simply hangs).

3. designer with multiple artboards instantly crashes when attempting to print.

Might be an idea to mention the Operating System you are using and if possible upload a troublesome file to see if we get a similar response.

I can also report that trying to update a link in Publisher Resource Manager to a Designer file (3 artboards, each placed in a different location in the Publisher file) hangs Publisher. I'm now spending hours on a project that, when done in 1.85, took about 2 hours...

UPDATE: If I REPLACE the linked file with the same linked file, Publisher will eventually respond rather than crash. With the scenario mentioned above, replacing the file took approx. 5 minutes. Updating the modified file in Resource Manager absolutely crashes the program.
