asbennettadam
Since upgrading to 1.9 I am finding that inverted masks no longer work, painting on and off a normal mask works OK, yet once inverted brushes seem to have no effect. Running windows 10, and have even uninstalled 1.9 and downloaded again, yet still have the same issue. Any suggestions how to resolve, it worked OK in previous versions. In meantime I've now gone back to 1.8.5. in frustration.

Seenich
I've also recently installed 1.9.0.932 and my mask functionality isn't working at all - both inverted and non-inverted - I can't use the black or white paint function, it just does nothing to the image. I saw on a previous thread this was down to the 'Protect Alpha' being chosen, but it's not switched on with my session. I've created the mask by the Layer menu and the Mask icon but both suffer from the same problem.
Staff Gabe Posted February 24, 2021 Staff Share Posted February 24, 2021 Hi all, Sorry for the delayed reply. I can't replicate this either. Regardless, can you all try this in the latest beta?
