drwpk
Hi, I am trying to use the red eye removal tool and following the help instructions. I understand that the result is cumulative but at least with the photos I am using, the first 4-5 instances of the tool barely shows a difference. Repeated use just makes it look muddy and red. Is there anything else I can do here ... other than go back and take a better picture? This is weak. Should I look to recolor the eye instead? Infinite Affinity
Hi, I am trying to use the red eye removal tool and following the help instructions. Is there anything else I can do here ... other than go back and take a better picture? This is weak. Should I look to recolor the eye instead? That sounds unusual. Would you be willing to post the image up so we can see why it might not be working well?
pisksix
Hi, I experienced the same difficulty removing the effect of flash on my subjects. I first attempted to do it in the "develop" persona, and saw absolutely no change whatsoever. I drew boxes around the areas after zooming in. The boxes remained, no visible change. After a couple of attempts, I tried the red eye removal tool in the photo persona. Initially, it did not work, as I had zoomed to see the pixel' squared, and as I tried over and over, nothing changed. Then I increased the area size, to sample further away from the tainted zone, and it worked, but not perfectly. When you zoom out, it is acceptable though, even if the eyes look darker than usual. I am using the Beta 2 version of Affinity Photo on a MacBook Pro (retina, 13-inch, late 2013), OS is macOS Sierra vr 10.12.2 I was willing to share the photo with you, unfortunately, it is 33MB in its raw format, and I cannot upload it. I do not think the jpg version would be useful.
RonBates312
Does this work for green 'Pet Eye' correction too? If you need to remove pet eyes, my suggestion is to try this: http://www.paintshoppro.com/en/pages/red-eye/ It isn't in the affinity software, but it can help you if you are having the same problem like I did where my pets look like devils instead of CUTE! :) Btw, affinity is an amazing software, very simple and quick! :))
EdD
You might try this approach: Don't know why but the link I included didn't work. I was suggesting you look at Affinity Revolution's You Tube channel. The tutorial is "make Beautiful Eyes in Affinity Photo"
Madame
Maybe this video? https://youtu.be/kWy-9N1IpKk You need to use the URL/link "box" They won't show if you just paste the link.
