Resolution is rounded down instead of rounded up when exporting

The following scenario: a TIFF has the following information Resolution (X and Y) 299.999 , Resolution unit: inch. Using Document size in Affinity Photo this is correctly specified as 300 dpi.  If the image is now exported as JPEG, then 299 dpi is written there as resolution instead of 300 (or unchanged 299.999).

Hi @JoelOwens,
Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
Sorry the delay getting back to you. We've been quite busy lately due to the amount of new posts/support tickets generated by the latest releases and the 90 day free trial offer.
Actually when you load the TIFF it should display 299 in the DPI field, and not round up to 300 as shown in your screenshot. It's correctly identified as a 299,999 DPI image in the Description on the bottom of the same dialog and if you switch to the Move Tool (with the layer selected) and look at the top left corner (in the context toolbar) you can also see the image has 299 dpi (after the layer name there). I've logged this to be looked at. Thanks for reporting it.
