JaneW
Good morning and I wonder if anyone is able to help me with this please? I edited a photo in Affinity and checked the highlights, they were fine and not clipped according to the clipped highlights button on the top right, the Scope graph and the Info numbers panel. However, when my mentor imported the same photo into Lightroom the highlights were clearly blown. Am I misreading the numbers in the info panel, are they nothing to do with the highlights and is there anything else I should be doing? Thank you. NotMyFault
Hi Jane, to find out, we would need more information. If you used a RAW image? Lightroom and Affinity photo have different approaches. For Canon CR2 files, Lightroom may be able to read the picture profile from the RAW file, whereas Affinit is not able, and uses different presets which you can set in the development assistant. This can lead to totally different results, as you observerd. Did you export a photo in Affinity, and opened this in Lightroom? A frequent cause for issues are color calibration profiles, which lead to pictures rendered different in Affinity and other Apps. JaneW
Hello Timo Thank you so much for taking time to reply. Yes, I think you are right. I imported a RAW CR2 file into Affinity and edited it. I then transferred the exported Jpeg file to the mentor using WeTransfer and he opened it in Lightroom so that is why it would have looked different and it would have been outside of my control. So this will be the case in all such situations and impossible to predict or control. I have the Assistants turned off. With thanks Jane
