Is it possible to sort posts by date created, descending? By title?

Yes.

But the method may depend on exactly what you're viewing. And what kind of device you're using.

Provide a screenshot of the top of the screen where you want to sort, and maybe we can tell you.

Many posts, several years old, are shown.

You have sorted the topics based on which have the "most replies".

Sorting by "Last Post Date" is probably what you're looking for. Or just "Recently Updated" from the standard settings, not the Custom settings.

I think you're being confused by the Topic date, when you should be looking at the Post date.

I have always thought that the two dates are in the wrong places. In that there is the black bullet point showing unread topics with the Created date and time.

Probably not worthwhile. Serif is just a user of another company's forum software, and that company would have to make the change.
