Notes:
Edited original
a. Fixed some problems with the original patterns
b. Reordered the filenames and split the btimap patterns into two groups of 15 styles.
c. Added 14 new patterns to create a second style set (Dinosaur 01, Dinosaur 02)
There are now 30 patterns...needed for  accompanying brush set

Thank you. You are so very generous with your talent, time, and contributions to this community.

Thanks.. It did take some time!:)...I just thought it would be a good idea to see what you can do with the symbols and vector layers...This was fun though!...I am sure there will be some more!
Have not explored the stacking options in the symbols yet (each pattern has number of vector layers) So I could explore the variation/options. I did try using the new tools in 1.9...Same select/layer groupings/Contour tool.. I can see lots of possibilities!:)

Thanks, but for some reason the brushes don't show up after installing in designer. What might I be doing wrong?

These are raster brushes, you will find them in Pixel Persona.

I tried the brushes and got some interesting graphic effects with them.

You can....There is a lot of variation.....with mixing brushes | blend modes and colour...+ the options in the dynamics..

Deliberately used textured nozzles so the variation is greater when texturing. A solid nozzle would just produce a flat pattern. I personally prefer using small patterns!....The dynamics on these brushes are set for painting not inking!

The Brushes and Assets on the forum are free to download. They are a small sample of the total brushes in the library. There is a list in resources for you to review:

what tool you used do these textures?

Hi

The textures are just vector objects drawn using the pen tool but arranged to repeat using symbols to test the structure of patterns.

Basically, they are just patterns arranged in a layer stack Symbol > Rectangle > Pattern Objects (vector) then repeat for complexity. It is time consuming but worth the effort. Once you have the pattern it can be used for styles and brush base textures. You do need to plant for this. I tend to create Style Patterns larger (Size and Dpi). Work backwards to produce the base textures..

You will need to create a template page using a 'cross' shaped grid with a single Symbol to test the layouts

I put together some instructions on how to generate the patterns some time ago....check it out here! Texture Based Styles

@StuartRc Can you explain? Or can this only be done in the BETA version 2.1......

Thanks.

Hi

I built the Pattern Swatch File in 2.04. (creating swatches from pattern fills dragged from the Asset Panel to the Fill Swatch on the Context Bar). By having them in the Swatches Panel was just too easy!. There has been more work on the process in 2.1 as you can see here.

You should be able to import the file as a Palette!
