I have waited a couple days and read the forums for solutions. today I uninstalled Affinity Photo. yo_mikie Posted February 12, 2021 Author Share Posted February 12, 2021 Hello, just simply opening tiff files. Sometimes I can open one at a time. But even then it crashes to desktop after two or three images. Opening more than one file results in immediate crash. I can also load one file at a time by using Affinity Photo as a plug-in through Capture One. thanks for getting back. I figured out how to download and install 1.8.5. So I will wait till the dust settles and try 1.9 later. thx, mike P.S. I am not a computer whiz so I struggled to figure out how to revert to 1.8.5 . It would be nice to have a simple prominent link for people like me until you get things worked out. Also want to say that I really enjoy Affinity Photo. Staff Chris B Posted February 12, 2021 Staff Share Posted February 12, 2021 Hi MIke, You will need to remove the 1.9 version from Add or remove programs and then download the 1.8 build from the link Mark provided. Note that this only applies if you purchased through the Affinity Store and not the Microsoft Store. If you do fall back to 1.8, it might be worth following Mark to see when he does a beta announcement and you can check to see if your issue is resolved.
