zBernie
When attempting to paint pixel layers with the brush, I seem to be having intermittent problems. Sometimes even though the layer is selected and not locked, I cannot paint on it at all. Other times like as shown below, I have the "Unicorn 2" pixel layer selected, the brush set to a gold color, yet you can see the brush stroke on the unicorn is a blue color. Am I doing something wrong here?
Old Bruce
I am thinking your (Recolor Adjustment) is the culprit here. Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.5.5 | Affinity Photo 2.5.5 | Affinity Publisher 2.5.5 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

I also have a recolor adjustment on the main background layer which explains that as well.
