Is there a simple way to create a mask in Affinity Photo so that the background is dropped out when it is imported into a page layout program? This is the equivalent of eps mask in Photoshop.

Since I have no reply to my question, is it because I am doing something wrong or is it impossible to answer?

Welcome to the forum @Mixxie

Which page layout app are you using?

In the page layout app, do you want the text to follow the contour of the shape?

Masks can be created in several ways, by selection, using the pen tool or simply erasing the background.
