Status: Beta
Purpose: Fixes
Requirements: Purchased Affinity Publisher
Windows Store: Not Submitted
Download: Download
Auto-update: Not Available

---

We are pleased to announce that Affinity Publisher Customer Beta 1.9.1.952 is now available as a download from the link above.

If this is your first time using a customer beta of an Affinity app, it’s worth noting that the beta will install as a separate app - alongside your store version. They will not interfere with each other at all and you can continue to use the store version for critical work without worry.

This beta is an incremental update from the 1.9.0 version recently released to all customers (although it still installs parallel to the released version, as described above). We recommend that you use this beta in preference to the store version if you are affected by any of the issues listed below.

Hi Adam, Is the download going to be done through cdn.affinity in the future? I see the Publisher beta download is still coming from AWS.

Than you Adam,

It works for me!!

I think one of the best things about Affinty, besides the excellent software, it is the customer support!! Always attending user issues in the fast way. Great!

+ 1

I use all three Affinity products since 6 month now and I am excited about your customer support and how easy it is to access and try out the beta versions.

I also like how often you publish new betas and pass the benefits of new functions and fixes to your customers.

The decision to switch to Affinity was one of my best in the last 10 years 😊

Hi Dave,

We are trialling it for a couple of products at the moment, but currently it is not without issues.

I always check Beta versions and look for how manipulation with linked contect is resolved. In this version Vector crop tool even got worse, it is deforming linked PDF rather than what it should do - cropping it. In Alpha version cropping works, however cropped frame setup is fully lost after reload of linked PDF. After converting the frame to picture frame crop tools works correctly, however option to scale inserted content of picture frame is lost, it should be there. By my opinion this should be finally put right. This is one of the major issues to make Publisher a usable applicaiton. Somehow I miss the strategy in the manipulation with linked concent, which is really cruital. Thank you and good luck.
