Font Size Changed on Grouping (Designer 1.9.0.932)

Hello lads, seems like a bug with grouping on latest 1.9.0.932. Texts that use frame text tool will have its font size changed/reduced if it's grouped with other object/curves/group. Text using Artistic text tool behave normally.

I don't think the previous 1.8.5 have this bug so this could be new.

Attached a sample video and the Affinity file.

My system is Lenovo Y700-15isk i7 6700 GTX970M, Windows 10, updated from 1.8.5 (not clean install).

Thanks all. Hope it'll be shorted shortly since workaround took considerable amount of time.

Hi envinite

You are correct, this is unfortunately new to 1.9.0 and something we're aware of. Its the scaling on the text box that is causing the issue. It is with development to be fixed however. Thanks for the files and video, they're very much appreciated!

We have made fixes/improvements to this area (Text in scaled text frame could increase in size when grouped) of the program in the latest customer beta. If you would like to try these changes the beta software is available in the forum posts listed below.

The latest beta builds are downloadable from links at the top of each of these beta forum posts.

These betas install parallel, next to the release version (they do not overwrite your release) and so the fixes can be tried in the beta without affecting your normal workflow in the release version.

Once these programs have been through a full beta process the change will be released in a future free 1.9.1 update/patch to all customers.
