Some problems with focus stacking (was: mr)

Hi @Aestivator,

My sincerest apologies for the delayed response here and many thanks for your report!

I can confirm this is a known issue when running Focus Merge with Hardware Acceleration set to On, my apologies for any inconveniences caused by this. Should you re-update to 1.9 at any time, you can disable Hardware Acceleration under Edit > Preferences > Performance.

This is with our developers to be fixed and we hope to resolve this shortly.

I hope this helps :)

Please note -

I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time.

Many thanks!

Welcome to the forums @reinhardneumann :)

No problem at all, glad to hear this workaround helped!

I believe our latest Windows Photo beta has resolved this issue, if you're willing to try this you can download it from the below link and install it alongside your retail version, so that you have 2 different versions of the Affinity app installed -

You should find that you're able to leave Hardware Acceleration active, both when focus merging and when simply editing a document to speed up rending on your machine. I hope this helps :D
