Text aligned left and right on same line?

Recommended Posts

Am I doing something wrong here? Inside a text box, I'd like to align a few words on the left, and then, on the same line, align some more words on the right. I'd prefer to keep it all in the same text box.

I know I could achieve the same thing with one text box with text aligned to the left, and over the top of it, place another text box with text aligned to the right. But it would be nice to select individual words and give them different alignment properties - rather than for the whole line.

Is this possible?

Welcome to the Affinity forums @Peter Gregory!

Assuming you are using APublisher this can be done easily. Write your left text, then insert a "Right Indent Tab" (Shift + Tab) and write your right text.

EDIT: Just tested this in ADesigner / APhoto. Same keyboard shortcut although not appearing in the menu.

Works also for ADesigner / APhoto, but has no menu entry here
