Nexus
Hi guys, the latest update doesn´t work for me. My program crashes constantly without any reason. Deinstalled everything and reinstalled it again, tried it without open gl etc. It keeps on crashing. Now I´m back to 1.85 to ensure I get my stuff done. McAlano
Same problem here, just freezes and then closes program randomly and without warning. On first loading a RAW file to edit it briefly shows a not responding message across the top but then works ok for a while. Also, noticed that it often freezes when trying to zoom into a RAW image to examine parts more closely, then closes without warning. Previous versions have performed flawlessly. Staff Leigh Posted February 17, 2021 Staff Share Posted February 17, 2021 We've had similar reports from other users and disabling OpenCL can resolve the issue. More information can be found here: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/133116-faq-how-can-i-disable-opencl-compute-acceleration-on-windows/ If that fails, please make sure your GPU drivers are up to date. If that also doesn't resolve the issue, please try out latest beta build from here: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/134424-known-issues-common-issues-found-in-the-affinity-190-update/
Nexus
Hi Leigh, I gave it a try and affinity didn´t crash till this point, so thanks for that. But it´s still running pretty slow, especially when editing raw files. Cheers Leigh

If the beta is running slow then I would suggest you mention this in the beta forum to see if they can figure out why it's running slow. McAlano
Hello Leigh. Disabling OpenCL seems to have done the trick so thanks! No crashes to date since the change and seems to be running pretty much as fast as it did in earlier versions. Cheers Leigh
