Where/how do I reactive floating panels?

Recommended Posts

Hello.

I had two floating tool panels.

I docked the "main" panel, the one with the "move tool" at the top.  Now it seems to be "locked" in place on the left side of the screen. I can't find a way to "undock" it so it is again a floating panel.  How would I do this?

Then I had a docked panel, the one with "Assets" and "Appearances".  I undocked that panel and closed it so I could have more room on the screen, but now I can't find a way to reactive that panel and redock it.

I've tried to search in the previous questions, but the issue is that if you don't ask the question in the exact same verbiage as someone prior, no results are returned.

Thanking you in advance for any suggestions.

Hello qt3dot14,
To float the interface go to Window > Separated Mode. This is an On/Off toggle so clicking it again will re-dock the interface.
Go to View > Studio, and click on the items you want. All active items will have a tick next to them.
Once a new panel has opened un-docked on your screen, just drag it by it’s name tag to where you want it to live in the docked interface.

That's the Tools panel. On Windows, View > Dock Tools. It's a toggle, so enable it or disable it as appropriate.

That's the Tools panel. On Windows, View > Customize Tools, and there should be an option to dock it. Should be similar on Mac.

On Macs just untick View > Dock Tools.
