wet edges setting stays on

My OS is windows 10 and I have the latest version of Affinity Photo.

As the title says, whenever I use any other brush that does not require wet edges after using a brush that does, that option does not untick and I have to manually change it.

So. Click on a water color brush(wet edges is automatically selected). And then click on any standard brush (wet edges is still selected).

Not a hassle to do, just figured that this wasn't intended.

That being said, that was the only water color option change that was obvious to me, not sure if there were other options that automatically change.

I believe this is by design. I asked this a long time ago and that's what I was told when I made the bug report.

However, I honestly cannot remember why so I've asked again. I'll reply once I get one myself.

"Wet edges" is a ternary setting for a brush, with the three values:

1. Turn wet edges on;
2. Turn wet edges off;
3. Do not change the current wet edges setting.

Some brush designs work best with wet edges, so they use #1.

Some brush designs won't work well with wet edges, so they use #2.

Some can work either way, depending on the user's desire, so they use #3.

That rings a bell. I checked with dev and pretty much got that reply back in 2018!
