soulandorange
Hi, I have here an image selected with visible lines. How can I remove those. It's on transparent background and with mask applied. Help. I used Desktop Affinity Photo.
firstdefence
You could use a brush on the mask to erase or feather the dark lines better or use the refine option to improve the masking. maybe upload the afphoto file for us to look at Quote iMac 27" 2019 Somona 14.3.1, iMac 27" Affinity Designer, Photo & Publisher V1 & V2, Adobe, Inkscape, Vectorstyler, Blender, C4D, Sketchup + more... soulandorange
the thing is it shouldn't be there in the first place. I did selection brush for bought selection, then pen tool for accurate selection, and then the Gaussian blur after. I don't think it should be there. or I might have missed something. You can't really see the lines, not until you export them.

soulandorange
Thats after using the pen tool, I tried to outline the object. But after that, the edges were too sharp so I used the Gaussian blur.
carl123
If you disable the blur layer and export do you still get the line? soulandorange
It worked! But not sure how to apply the Blur. I'll try feathering and smoothing it. But the Gaussian blur used to work and now it doesn't. So not sure what happened.
firstdefence
Why use gaussian blur when you have Select > Refine Edges... https://affinity.help/photo/English.lproj/pages/Selections/selections_refine.html Did you have preserve alpha unchecked on the gaussian blur? soulandorange
I'm not sure but I think Gaussian Blur automatically detects the edges and blurs it. Not sure with the refine edge tool. I'll try that one
