Does anybody have the same experience? What? No. jpg, png, anything. Exporting just works but I'm talking about Affinity Photo on Windows here. I haven't tried Designer and Publisher yet. What are you using? Mac or windows? Photo, Designer or Publisher? Hans Peter
Good Morning, Excuse me, here are more details about my environment: Software: Affinity Photo version 1.9.0.932 Operating system: Windows 10 Professional When i try to export the image to the JPG and/or TIFF i see the file format "Affinity Dateien" (see screenshot: Example.png) Export to the following formats work: .PNG, GIF, .PSD, PDF, SVG, .WMF, EPS ,EXR, HDR TGA i see the chosen file format (see screen shot: Example PDG.png) Despite the message i continued with the export to TIFF and/or JPG. The export works. So it's on a minor issue? Regards Hans-Peter Xzenor

Staff Patrick Connor Posted February 9, 2021 Staff Share Posted February 9, 2021 @Hans Peter I have split this from the announcement post, but I would like to reassure you that 1.9.0 IS saving the files correctly in JPG and TIFF format, only the text on the screen is wrong (the circled bit in your screenshot) The file saved is a TIFF or JPG as you have chosen just ignore the "Affinity File" label the export dialog displays. As @haakoo points out this is already resolved in the latest beta and will be fixed in the forthcoming 1.9.1 patch, but in the meantime you can just use the feature as before as only the on-screen text is wrong not the file format Quote Patrick Connor Serif Europe Ltd Latest V2 releases on each platform Help make our apps better by joining our beta program! walt.farrell
Also, it will be less confusing if you configure File Explorer to show filename extensions.
