anniefarbs Posted February 9, 2021 Share Posted February 9, 2021 same here ,after downloading update... it freezes on me also in the middle of a design ( using Affinity Photo ) I cant get it to close unless I do a task manager and close it that way. Thank god for open restore save when I reload Affinity..Also I cant close or even have it go to my affinity screen when I click the icon for affinity on my tool bar.. Sorry hope I make sense.. Edite> Preferencias> Rendimiento y desmarque OpenCL, luego cierre Preferencias y se le pedirá que reinicie Affinity. brandx Posted February 10, 2021 Share Posted February 10, 2021 (edited) @stokerg I have unchecked Enable OpenCL and seems to run now. However I have also noticed that on opening a file (eg a large Tiff) it shows as "Loading one Document" in top right corner but never completes and when I try to quit Affinity I get a message to say wait for files to load before quitting . Then I have to go to Task Manager to End Task. Roj Blake Posted June 29, 2022 Share Posted June 29, 2022 Another fix other than - If you are all running Affinity on Windows, can you try clicking Edit>Preferences>Performance and unticking OpenCL then close Preferences and you'll be asked to restart Affinity. - Check the amount of memory allocated, mine was allocating all or more memory than I had, I am running with 16GB once I dropped allocated memory to 8GB my problems stopped. Bango Posted December 12, 2022 Share Posted December 12, 2022 Hi, I'm currently having the issue that Photo doesn't respond after selecting a template since I updated to version 1.10.6. I also tried the mentioned and other fixes (like factory reset) but nothing helped. Affinity Photo still doesn't respond! Would appreciate every help! P.S.
