Groups issue

Recommended Posts

Hello, in 1.9 update i can`t made groups (cmd+g) like before. The elements (text boxes) of the the group change their font size arbitrary. I dont know if this is a issue or and change of the method of made groups. These text boxes are form another version of affinity and is a pain fix them all ...

This is a new bug, a.k.a. a "known issue". Hopefully they will fix it in the next update soon.

Meanwhile, in your case the workaround would be:

  1. create a temporary object like a simple rectangle
  2. group this rectangle with "itself", that creates a "(Group)" layer in the Layers panel
  3. move your text frame layers in the Layers panel inside this "(Group)" layer
  4. delete the temporary rectangle

It is Feb 23 and there is still no official update for this yet. I tried the Beta and it corrects this specific issue, but now none of my shortcuts/preferences are working. And I'm not going to bother importing all of that for just a beta when I actually have real work to do. Frustrating.
