Affinity Designer 1.9.0 on Ipad pro 2018 crashes constantly

Hey so i’ve been using Affinity Designer on my Ipad pro (2018) for a long time now. Never had any problems until two days ago when the new update came out. Whatever i try to do, whichever file i open the app crashes after a few seconds rendering it completely unusable... As i do two design jobs using mostly AD, this is a huge problem now. Any tips on how i could solve this would be greatly appreciated. Before you ask, yes i tried resetting the ipad, it didn’t help, the problem seems to be with the new update...

Hi Daxos,

Are you able to share and attach one of those files please? We've had a couple of reports of old files crashing when opening in 1.9 which is what it sounds like you're seeing. If you could get those files to use that will help us greatly!

Thanks,

Hey unfortunately these are all work files that i am not allowed to share, but i am attaching a video so you can see what’s happening. When i open the file and try to move around or export, it just crashes right away. I suppose it would happen with other actions as well... It’s actually a pretty big problem since, as i already mentioned, i use AD for my job. These are some pretty big files with multiple artboards, but it only started happening since the release of the latest update (this doesn’t happen with some other big files though)

I wonder if its struggling with the amount of Artboards in your document or at least raster data (I'm going based on the name that there are 118?). Would you be willing to share your file with us privately? If so I have created a link that will allow you to share your file to our internal Dropbox account to avoid publicly sharing it:
