license renewal & V.A.T address

Recommended Posts

Hello.
I would like to acquire Affinity Designer, but I am looking for two simple pieces of information:

- Is the license for Affinity Designer a lifetime license, or do I need to renew it every year to take advantage of updates?

- In order to pay online, I would like to specify my company name and postal address so I can get the VAT back, but I couldn't find where to fill in this information in the purchase process....

Thank you very much for your clarification.

I'm just trying to find informations about what I get with purchasing, is this anual or lifetime licence. If it's lifetime and I don't need to pay every year for updates, how you will manage licences when launch a big (2.x or 3.x or...) update? I will have to pay (how much?) to get this update, or alternatively, keep working with the old version?

These are informations you should put somewhere to be clear what users get with your licence, and what are possible further expences. (eg, your licence is lifetime, but you'll need to pay ??? euros for any new big update, or you should keep working on the old version).

If I guess right, plese give me cca price for new update and when you expect it to be launched.

Regards,

Marina

Hello, @03GO, annd welcome to the forums.

The licences you buy for Affinity software are perpetual  and include incremental updates (1.9, 1.10 etc). Even if a new upgrade is issued (2.0), the current software will still be valid and will be supported.

Serif is not saying when any new upgrade (2.0) will be issued nor is it indicating any price. This is normal commercial business. practise.

This information has been know for some time and could easily be found by searching this forum website.
