NotEvenTrying Posted February 8, 2021 Share Posted February 8, 2021 Hi, I updated to Affinity Photo 1.9 a couple days ago, and have been loving the pattern layer feature as it is super useful for making repeating textures. However, I found today that smudge tool does not work correctly on pattern layers; instead of smudging the pixels, it erases them instead. I couldn't find anything on this online, so I assume it's a bug that has gone unnoticed. I can't really get much use out of pattern layers until this is fixed unfortunately, as I need to use smudge tool a fair bit in my workflow for creating stylized textures for games/rendering. The sponge, dodge, burn, median, sharpen and blur brushes appear to work although could do with checking to make sure they working as per expectation. The paint mixer brush doesn't work properly either.
