How to save my own Pdf preset?

Recommended Posts

In Affinity Publisher 1.9 on macOS Catalina changed the Pdf Export settings but

if i try to save that as a custom Preset, all tho Options for saving are greyed out and i can not save the preset.

The same in Affinity Photo and Designer. Is that a bug or am i doing something wrong?

Broken in 1.9, known issue, either wait for update or downgrade to v1.8…

MacBookAir 15": MacOS Ventura > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // MacBookPro 15" mid-2012: MacOS El Capitan > Affinity v1 / MacOS Catalina > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // iPad 8th: iPadOS 16 > Affinity v2

For the record, I've chosen the latter option. This very issue being one of the main reasons because I have yet to rebuild my custom PDF export settings from InDesign CS5.5.

MacOS or Windows?
Serif Store or Mac/Win App Store?

Then your option is to revert the Affinity apps from your Time Machine backup.
You do have a Time Machine backup, right? ;)

For the record, you don't need to do a full revert of the MacOS. All you need is to copy the older Affinity versions from the Applications folder via Time Machine menu > Enter Time Machine > navigate to the Application folder before the date you've downloaded v1.9. You need to have admin priviledges to do so.
