Affinity Publisher is slow and lags after 1.9 update.

Recommended Posts

Hello.

I've updated all my affinity apps to 1.9 and now my publisher app is slow and lags even in very simple documents.

My performance window looks like this:

and I'm running windows 10 with fully updated drivers. I've even tried re-installing publisher and the lag and slowness persist. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Kasper.

I did turn off that option and didn't make a difference. I also tried clearing user data now, but no difference.

Have you updated your drivers for your video card?

I had the very same issue and had to do a bunch of stuff to get it working properly. Argggh, machines!

Hi @kasper.kristensen, @Numan & @Rodi,

My apologies for the delayed response here!

We've identified an issue with the latest version of Publisher, whereby when the Paragraph Studio is visible, the app can slow down considerably.

If you hide/close this Studio panel, then the app should return to working as expected, this is why the CTRL run up can resolve this issue.

As I understand it, our devs are working to resolve this currently!

I hope this helps :)

Please Note: I am now out of the office until Tuesday 2nd April on annual leave.

Many thanks :)
