ellycolor
I've installed Affinity Photo 1.9.1 and it works much better! Until now I didn't stumble upon any problem as soon as I unchecked "Enable OpenCL compute acceleration" from Edit > Preferences > Performance (also I've seen the performance increase when I lowered the undo limit number). See my attached photo, what I meant. Windows 10 Pro version 20H2 Affinity Photo Version 1.9.0.932 I’m having the same problem. My image exported with blocks of the masked layer showing up. To top it all off the program is crashing endlessly 😭

chrisphilton
Yeah, I just updated from 1.7 and Affinty Photo is now completely unusable (and yes I have disabled GPU acceleration). Live filters layer don't render completely, create artifacts, or show up in blocked segments. The "Add Noise" layer is no longer obeying it's masks (or even the layer heirarchy lol) so it just adds all adds noise layers (even if they are completely underneath other layers) and plops them on top. Another example: layer B is a photo that completely fits the canvas. Layer A is underneath and has a bunch of adjustment layers on it. I enable layer A and a 30px edge around Layer B disappears. Also, for the record "Live Layers" is extremely buggy and updating upon external editing does not work at all. The resource manager constantly things the external file is not located, yet you can still double click the linked document and edit it just fine. Does anyone have any advice for downgrading versions? My workflows for my business has been completely tanked now that I upgraded to 1.9. Not to mention it is incredibly slow. Yikes! PeterZ110
I have the latest version of Afifinity Photo. It is impossible to work on it. It crashes very often, sometimes you can't even save the work progress. I hope for a quick fix Edited March 22, 2021 by PeterZ110
PeteMacca
Quick fix #1: Try disabling hardware acceleration in Preferences. Or Quick fix #2: Update graphics driver. PeterZ110

PeteMacca
The quickest way to find out is to enable hardware acceleration again. It'll either work, or not work. PeterZ110
