On my Mac Big Sur they do appear (see below.) Are you on Windows, Mac, or iPad?

This capability doesn’t exist on an iPad. :)

But I have the complete set of Flip/Rotate tools that can be placed in the customizable toolbar.

macOS Mojave 10.14.6

It's missing in the Windows version. I don't remember if it was present in the previous version.

The Flip tool icons were never present in Photo prior to 1.9. In 1.9 they made into Photo for MacOS, but did not make it into Windows for some reason.

@walt.farrell are you certain about that? I thought for sure Photo in macOS had them in v1.8 and possibly even earlier. But it's difficult to recall now, because I move between all three apps—Designer, Photo, and Publisher. 🤔

The 1.9 Photo beta for MacOS release notes showed adding the Flip icons to the Toolbar.

Thank you for verifying. This is blowing my mind right now. I thought I'd already had them for ages. I must be losing it. 😂

You are not losing it - just update overload!  The two  "Flip" icons were available in Designer (mine certainly as far back as v. 1.8.3) either separately, or as part of a "Transform" group of icons that you could include in your Context Toolbar.  Now we have them in Photo as well, with v. 1.9.  Nice!

No kidding! I'm normally pretty good about all of this. But between owning the entire suite for the desktop as well as the available iPad versions, it's getting tough to remember what I saw, and where I saw and used it. 😂

And YES, the updates are great to have. The apps have all been very stable and extremely usable for me, even in a professional environment. Very happy with where things are headed.
