Asmordean
Background: I often will create several designs on a single sheet when they have a common theme so I can keep a consistent theme. Once finished I like to save them individually for import into Publisher or whatever I'm working on. It would be nice to be able to have a "Save Selection As..." option to allow for quick export. Current method: Select the elements desired. Copy (CTRL+C). New From Clipboard (CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+N). Then "Save As..." on the new document (CTRL+SHIFT+S) and close it. This creates a correctly sized document that can be pulled with ease into Publisher. I actually use AutoHotKey to do this all with CTRL+F12 but a built in way would be nice. Proposed method: User highlights what they want. Under "File" two new menu options are present. "Save Selection As..." and "Export Selection As..." in case you want to export a SVG. This could possibly be under the "Selection" menu but saving files seems more logical under "File". walt.farrell
File > Export already supports exporting a selection, rather than the whole document. And in Photo and Designer the Export Persona allows that, too. That doesn't help when you want to save in the native .afdesign, etc. format, though. Fixx
Plain copy-paste would not cover this, no?
