CraigK
Hello. I'm testing out the new contour tool in Affinity 1.9 and I can't seem to find how to change the color of the contour to make it different from the object the contour surrounds. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks.
G13RL
Hello @CraigK, Apparently this can't be done directly, you have to duplicate the text, put the desired color for the outline to the lower text and apply "Contour Tool" to it (or proceed in the reverse order). Someone else may have found another, more direct way.
firstdefence
Contour isn't offset in the sense it creates a new shape, it's more like an expand and contract tool, although having a tooltip bar saying you can clone using the Alt/Option when you can't makes for a confusing user experience. CraigK
So it looks like this isn't a true contour tool, like what is available in other apps like Xara and others. A shame. Well, at least if I duplicate the object and set the "contour" on the bottom, I can simulate a real contour. Surprised they haven't figured out how to make a real contour tool. Xara has had one for years.
