Fill tool issue on iPad 1.9 versions

Updated my desktop versions and was happy and then went on to the iPad versions - not so happy :-(

The fill tool doesn’t work with bitmap fill anymore (both in Designer and Photo) which is kind of a very big issue for a surface pattern designer. I use this tool all the time everyday !

Is there anyway to roll back to the previous version until a patch comes out for this issue?

Not unless you backed up your iPad with old version and then restore that backup.

It works for me, but inconsistently! Try switching to a conical or radial fill and then back again. (I’m afraid I haven’t figured out why it only sometimes allows me to browse for a texture.)

I’ve tried switching between the different options on the tool but never get an option to select the texture.

It was kind of the same when 1.8 first was released. The texture fill didn’t work then either but I found a workaround back then by adding the bitmap in Designer on the Desktop and then I could edit it on the iPad but that doesn’t even work this time.

Let’s hope they release a patch soon......

I reported this behaviour during beta testing. The workaround is to use the left and right arrow heads to move through the menu options (horizontal scrolling). Using the drop down menu (vertical scrolling doesn’t work properly.

Oh, no ☹️ - Thanks for the info!

Don’t you just hate it when new features interfere will old and tried functionality? I really hope they get it together soon.

As a lifelong developer I know the pain but believe me that wouldn’t have been accepted back then…..
