How to convert a pixel layer to a curve possible? Designer

I thought I had done this before but I can't seem to do it now. I want to change a pixel layer to a curve how can I do it or can I do it in Designer. Thanks

It isn't possible to convert an entire Pixel Layer into curves you can select certain elements and right click them then choose Convert To Curves but there is no way to convert an entire Pixel Layer.

How can I do this I need to convert this eyebrow to a curve so I can manipulate it. Thanks there are no elements.

The command Convert to Curves is to convert a "parametric" shape (like the Ellipse, Rectangle etc Tools and those you find under the Shapes tool) into cuves, that is, in regular paths so you can edits their nodes. The difference between a parametric and a regular shape, is that you can change a set of parameters in the first case e.g. you can choose the number of points for the Star Tool or the Inner radius of a Cog. However you cannot edit their nodes without converting them to curves first. When you do it you lose the ability to change change their parameters again. They become regular shapes as those you create with the Pen Tool.

 

Images (Pixel layers) cannot be converted to paths using that command. That a different feature. What you are looking for is an automatic tracing command/tool, which will covert an image (raster data) into a shapes (vector data). This is currently not available in Affinity Designer.

 

You will have to use a third-party application to do this conversion. Here's two thread discussing this subject with some software suggestions:

Yes I'm waiting for this to be added to Designer. "Tracing".
