403Dann
I just read in another group there is an apparent difference in the AP software purchased from Serif to that of the version purchased through the Apple App Store. The difference mentioned is the Serif version handles 3rd party plugin properly and the App Store version does not. I have an App Store version and can confirm after much fussing about, it is frustrating to hand off to a plug-in (Topaz Labs, or Luminar or Google Nik.......). If this is true can I migrate from the App Store version to the Serif Version? Actually if it’s NOT true can I migrate anyway?

From what I can tell, this is not true. In this respect, I think both Mac versions require the user to use the "authorize global" option to avoid the sandbox restrictions imposed by all recent macOS versions. Possibly, someone confused the sandboxing restrictions on the Microsoft store version of AP (for Windows) with those of the MAS version (for Macs)? 403Dann
Thanks @R C-R. The "authorize global" is greyed out. I understand this means the plugins are authorized.........??

That usually means the user has already granted global authorization for PS plugins, so there is no need (or way) to do that again. But note that not all PS plugins will work -- only certain filter types will, & some of them work only with the Windows version & not (either) Mac version. Also, some that work only work for 8 (or 8 or 16) bit images, so not every plugin will work with AP regardless of which store the app came from or which OS is running on. 403Dann
@R C-R Thanks for the reply, I did find that in another thread. I've got a question into Serif on this, so we'll see if there is a way to stick handle thru this issue. Cheers.
