Here is an assets file with each of the three cats.  Made in v. 1.8.4 and now imports properly into v. 1.9.0.  In case anybody wants it, and @MattP and Brian approve.  (Post changed after comments made.  :/

Affinity cats.afassets 626.96 kB · 5 downloads

FWIW, at least for me the "third cat" asset is rectangular, while the new cat tool shape is square (includes blank space above & below the shape. Original & third cat assets are both "(Image)" layers while second cat is just a "(Cat)" layer.

Regardless, I like the second cat much more than the others.

@R C-R  I made the the original and third cat assets from .afdesign files, exported them as PNGs, then added them from selection into the Assets Panel.  The second cat is from the cat shape we currently have.   I just thought that in case cat number two vanished before we had saved him for posterity, somebody had to give it a go.  I will gladly retire from the lists!  (Jousting.)B|

That gets you raster versions. Why not just copy the vector versions from the .afdesign files into the Assets panel, so that you retain them as vectors, with adjustable stroke/fill/size?

By that I assume you mean the one in the app versions older than 1.9, right? IIRC, that one was the winner of some contest early in the development of AD & around version 1.5 or 1.6 replaced the much less interesting original version.

Nothing to do with anything, other than it's Friday the 13th and the cat is back!

One of the problems working from home!
